Bum Bum
Chanzu Shakes Up the Scene with High-Energy Afrosounds Banger "BUM BUM"
If you've been keeping an eye on the rising wave of street-hop and Afrosounds, Chanzu is an artist who should already be on your radar. Fresh off the momentum of previous street favorites like "CANA" and "KOROBA KOROBA," the Lagos-based talent has returned with another high-octane single: "BUM BUM".
The Vibe: Pure Street Energy
Produced by the talented Moselbee and released on June 12, 2026, "BUM BUM" does exactly what it promises on the tin—it is designed to get people moving. Clocking in at a highly danceable 114 BPM, the track fuses heavy, rhythmic basslines with the signature fast-paced tempo that defines modern Nigerian street-pop and Mara-influenced beats.
Chanzu’s delivery is incredibly confident here. He rides Moselbee's energetic production effortlessly, delivering catchy, rhythmic hooks that are tailor-made for club speakers, Tik Tok dance challenges, and late-night drives.
The Twist: A Surprise Element
What makes "BUM BUM" stand out from standard club tracks is Chanzu's willingness to keep the listener guessing. Early listeners on platforms like Audiomack have already pointed out an unexpected, pleasant surprise: a slick Hausa vocal switch-up midway through the track.
It’s a brilliant stylistic choice that adds a unique flavor to the record, setting it apart from typical Afrobeats releases and proving that Chanzu is constantly finding ways to expand his sound.
"BUM BUM is the perfect cocktail of raw street energy and polished production. Moselbee’s heavy beats give Chanzu the perfect canvas to do what he does best: create infectious party music."
