Heavyweight Link-Up: Blaqbonez and Asake Drop "Chanel"
The Chocolate City maestro Blaqbonez has just raised the stakes for the summer, teaming up with none other than Asake for a massive new single titled "Chanel."
Fresh off his sold-out UK headline run, Blaqbonez isn't lifting his foot off the gas. By pulling Mr. Money himself into his sonic world, "Chanel" serves up a high-fashion, high-energy blend of rap grit and infectious Amapiano-fused melodies.
The Sound: A Luxe Crossover
What makes "Chanel" immediately stand out is how seamlessly it bridges the gap between two of Nigeria’s most distinct musical personalities:
- The Pristine Production: The beat is heavy yet incredibly polished, giving both artists a luxury backdrop to flex their signature styles.
- The Contrast: Emeka Must Shine brings his usual witty, confident rap cadence, while Asake anchors the track with his unmistakable, crowd-commanding choral hooks and melodic flows.
Instead of competing for the spotlight, the two modern icons push and pull against each other's styles, creating a track that feels equally suited for a late-night cruise or a packed club floor.
"It's a high-end collaboration that lives up to its designer name. Blaqbonez and Asake aren't just making music; they're curating a lifestyle."
The Verdict
If you expected anything less than a premium banger from this duo, think again. "Chanel" is proof that Blaqbonez continues to be one of the most versatile and strategic creatives in the game, and Asake's golden touch remains completely unmatched.
"Chanel" is out now via Chocolate City Music. Stream it on Apple Music, Spotify, and all major platforms today!
